My story

I have been working with children for most of my life, my work is my passion. I love to see the little ones grow, and I enjoy helping them to discover our world and become independent.

I'm a qualified educator and home daycare provider. I obtained my attention in Early Childhood Education from Vanier College in 2013.

In August 2001, an ad in the TMR Post changed my life. "Looking for home daycare provider" posted by the CPE Mont-Royal. I wrote a letter and applied for the position. The CPE accepted my letter and came to visit my house. They informed me it was better to finish both sides of my basement so that I could start with nine children right away. I finished my basement and on September 27, 2001 I started my home daycare with nine children on Ostell Crescent.

After reading the ad in the newspaper, I realized that my home had been vacant for more that ten hours a day as my children were in the daycare. This got me thinking that as I have my own house, I could provide a stimulating, safe, warm and caring environment with educational activities to children of many families.

I come from a big family and when I was eleven years old, I already had nieces and nephews. I love to be with children and it has always been a dream of mine to work with them. I think children are the most beautiful human beings because of their innocence. They are not only cute, but they can be very inspiring to most of us. In 1992 we came to Canada.  During this time, I was taking care of children. I have been taking care of children for most of my life. My daughter Jessica was born in 1994, my daughter Shaneka was born in 1995, and my son Nathaniel was born in 2003. These were one of the happiest days of my life.
