Welcome to Happy Child home daycare!

 

My objectives are to help the childrens' development and to provide age appropriate toys and challenges to encourage the child's growth. I want children to be happy and to have fun. I believe this helps boost their self-esteem, social skills, autonomy, concentration and problem solving, to help them get ready for school. I provide at least two or more of each toy to prevent fighting for the same toy, while teaching them to respect each other by sharing.

 

I promote creativity, autonomy, self-esteem, respect for each other, taking turns, responsibility and independence.

 

For childrens' independence and autonomy, I:

• let them choose and make their own decisions as to what they want to play with

• give them a variety of areas to choose from

• give them responsibility

• let them dress themselves and guide them by making things easier for them

• provide accessible activities within their reach

• offer age approppriate toys that allow them to use their imagination and creativity

• give enough room to play and enough equipment to play with

 

My qualities as a child care provider are that I am experienced, responsible, trustworthy, understanding, caring, empathetic, nurturing, respectful, generous, focused, supportive, energetic and organized. I hired and assistant to run my daycare for one year while I was pregnant with my son Nathaniel in 2003. Presently, I have permit for six children. 

 

I am currently working under coordinating office Jardin des Fruits.
